Wedding season mean one thing, PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS! It doesn’t matter if you are the bride, maid of honor, mother of the bride/groom, or the third cousin once removed, you want to look your best!
Botox/Dysport, dermal filler, chemical peels, and microneedling are all treatments to help improve your skin and your confidence. Below is a suggested timeline to help get you ready for the bid day!
If it is your first time receiving a wrinkle relaxer treatment such as Botox or Dysport it is ideal for you to see an injection specialist 6 month prior to the big day. This allows the injection specialist to develop a customized treatment plan, for your specific goals.
Botox/Dysport takes about 5-10 minutes to inject, 2-10 days to kick in, and typically last 3-4 months. By allowing 6 months before the big day, you will be able to receive one-two full treatments including follow up appointments, and touch ups. This way you will have a complete idea how everything will, look, feel, and cost.
If you are not able to allow for 6 months, I recommend at least 4 weeks before the big day to allow time for the treatment to kick in, and for touch ups if necessary.
Dermal fillers help with moderate to severe lines, saggy skin, and hollowness. All fillers at Aesthetic Lane are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a natural sugar found in the skin that is lost over time due to the again process. We use HA to enhance, or replace facial volume.
HA fillers last anywhere from 6 months to two years. It is ideal to do a filler treatment 6 weeks before the big day. 6 weeks allows for bruising and swelling to subside, and for touch ups to be done if necessary.
Achieve your wedding “glow” by receiving a chemical peel 2-3 weeks before the big day.
Chemical peels are designed to remove old, dark, dead skin cells, and regenerate new, younger, brighter skin cells. Chemical peels help with fine lines, acne, acne scaring, pigmentation, texture and tone of the skin.
It is ideal to have your chemical peels 2-3 weeks before the event. If you have deeper scars or darker pigmentation you may need a series of peels. In this case we recommend 3 peels 1 month apart, so strat the peeling process 3-4 months before the event.
Microneeding is a way to increase collagen in the skin. Microneeding helps with fine lines, acne scaring, texture, tone and plumping of the skin. Most people need 3-6 treatments to achieve their personal goal. I recommend coming in 6 months prior to the big days as these treatments should be 1 month apart.
