The ideal candidates for Restylane Kysse are healthy adults who are 21 years of age and older. It’s perfect for someone who wants more volume to their lips, understands what type of procedures they will have to go through, and knows what to expect for the final results.
You will receive information about the risk factors involved with the procedure and we will let you know if you are not suitable for the filler for any reason. You may be denied for having a history of bleeding disorders, taking medications that tend to prolong bleeding or having allergies or a history of allergic reactions to any of the ingredients for the injection.
What Will the Consultation Be Like?
During the consultation, you will have your skin examined. You will be informed about the procedure, and your consultant will ask you about any questions or concerns you may have. Your medical history will also have to be reviewed before you can move on to getting your injection. You will then be provided with treatment consent forms and have your ‘before’ photos taken before you get the numbing cream applied to your lips in preparation for your injection.

Will the Procedure Be Painful?

What Can I Expect Before and After Treatment?
You will be shown your ‘before’ and ‘after’ images in order to see your results and you will be given post-treatment guidelines to follow. You may experience a bit of discomfort at the treatment site after your injection has been administered, but these effects will lessen and likely disappear within up to two weeks post-treatment.
We’ll advise you to abstain from alcohol in the 48 hours before. Also avoid fish oil, vigorous exercise and blood thinners. All these can increase your swelling and bruising.
